About
Why We Only Do One Route
JuteWise exists because our founder spent years watching UK businesses priced out of hiring the people they needed, while the talent to do that work sat a few thousand miles away at a fraction of the cost. We connect those two facts, along one route, properly.
Where the name comes from
Jute is a fibre from the Bengal delta. On its own a single strand is weak enough to snap between your fingers. Spun and woven, it became strong enough to carry the sacks that moved the world's grain and coffee for a century — and the trade that grew around it ran between Bengal and Britain, in both directions, for generations.
We took the name because it describes both halves of what we do. The obvious half is the weave: a team is individual strands, and the value is in how well they are joined. The less obvious half is the route. That Bengal–Britain link is not a metaphor we invented for a website; it is a genuinely old connection, and we work along it deliberately rather than spreading ourselves across forty countries we would only half understand.
One corridor, done properly
Most companies in this space sell you access to a hundred countries. That is a real product and it suits large companies with a real need for it. It is not what a UK business hiring its first or fifth remote team member needs.
What that business needs is someone who knows which Indian cities have the talent for their role, what a fair salary actually is there, which credentials mean something, how the time difference plays out in practice, and what goes wrong in the first month. You only learn that by doing one route repeatedly. So that is what we do.
How we work
- One corridor only — UK companies hiring in India
- We recruit the person and handle the employment. Not one or the other.
- A named point of contact, not a support ticket
- Flat, transparent pricing — no markup hidden in statutory costs
- We will tell you when we are not the right answer for your role
Who is behind this
Aditya MukherjeeFounder
Aditya Mukherjee started JuteWise after years as a Business Manager working closely with UK founders, watching rising employee costs push otherwise solid businesses toward closure.
Being Indian himself, he saw the other side of that problem — a deep, skilled talent pool priced far below its worth. He is based in Liverpool, knows both markets firsthand, and takes the first call personally.
